Forever Friend

"Hi Friend." Those are the first words I heard Alin say to his beautiful bride, after their wedding ceremony. He can now add "Hi Wife" to his list of possible greetings.

These two had a long trip to the aisle. They were "best friends forever, and then we just sort of started dating"

These two friends married during an intimate ceremony in the courtyard at the Laughing Lotus in downtown Marysville. The two exchanged rings, I do's, tears and laughter.

After the wedding we walked over to the Bok Kai Temple for some fabulous photos of the newlyweds.

This wonderful couple is a lot of fun. They are clearly the best of friends.

I was so thrilled when I met these two for their wedding consultation. They are such a fun couple, easy going and I love hanging out with them. When i asked them how long they'd been together they replied "we've been best friends forever, and then we just sort of started dating". That's the best kind of love story there is, isn't it? Marrying your best friend is just the perfect start to the perfect life! Can't wait to shoot your wedding in October, Alin and Ciara!

it's been a while! I feel horrible about my poor neglected blog! April was a VERY busy month for me, and I just couldn't bring myself to blog my sessions.

I have a ton of sessions to blog, and this one is just saying "SPRING" at me, so it must be blogged NOW!

This little cutie came with her mama for some pictures at Hilcrest Park In Yuba City. It's one of my favorites to photograph, the gorgeous ivy walls, the pretty green trees, and the gorgeous leaves. This park in the fall will knock your socks off, but it's equally as gorgeous in the spring! And these ladies has the PERFECT colors on to go with the punch of green behind them. Isn't it perfect together?

I met this family when little Elizabeth was just 9 days old, and my how she has grown, in fact she just turned 2! Isn't she a doll? And her big brother? Equally as adorable! Last weekend I got to meet Mr. Liam and Miss Layla, who have got to be the cutest 6 month old twins ever! Their chub is just so sweet, and they were all smiles. 6 months is one of my favorite ages (Ok my absolute favorite, hands down!) to photograph, and this session was just 2 times the fun. We went to three different locations for these, my studio, downtown Marysville and then the gorgeous flower field. It was worth the extra time driving around because boy did these turn out amazing! Meet Sawyer

Sawyer is the sweetest little guy belonging to a very good friend of mine that I used to teach with. I've been photographing her older little boy since he was little, and feel so lucky that I got to photograph Sawyer at such a young age! He's just absolutely tiny and perfect and I miss cuddling him already! Congratulations to this perfect, loving, and sweet family. They deserve nothing but the best! (and perhaps some good sleep at night!)

We had the pleasure of shooting this gorgeous wedding the weekend after Thanksgiving. This bride has me convinced that fall weddings are where it's at. Between the beautiful orange colors, pumpkins and the gorgeous, foggy light, it was definitely something to be sought after! Besides, the gorgeous people in the wedding didn't hurt either! I officially want to get married again! (To the same husband of course!)

Her sister was her maid of honor, they were so cute together! You could really feel the sister bond around these two! I hope my girls grow up this close!

I've been capturing Olivia since she was in her mommy's tummy, it's been so much fun to watch her grow. I can't believe it's been a year since she was born! She's always one of my favorites to photograph, with those big blue eyes and that wispy blonde hair, how can she not be? I love being able to bring my studio to Olivia's house in Sacramento and have her be as comfortable as possible and let her relax while I take her pictures. I wish they didn't grow up so fast, time just flies!

For those of you that don't know, my husband and I are from Eureka. We met in High School in Math class, and started dating shortly after we graduated from High School. Both of us have lots of family in Eureka, and though the long drive there can be pretty daunting, we always have a good time once we're there.

I decided this time to do some mini sessions while I was up there since I have been getting requests from a lot of Eureka people for sessions when I'm there. Despite the torrential downpours we had while we were there, and having to move the "park sessions" for rain, we had a great time and got some amazing shots for the families! "Back" to school for my big girl! {Yuba City Photographer}

It's official, my little girl is big. She started preschool on Tuesday! I can't believe that she's so big that she's going to school! When we dropped her off Tuesday morning, we tried to hang out a little while to see how things were going and play with her for a little bit. (That's what all the other parent's were doing, so why should we have to leave?) Well, about 30 seconds into it, Katie started asking when we were going to leave. Apparently we were not welcome on her new adventure. After a few tears (from me, not her) we said good bye. She loved school! She was so excited to go back yesterday. She just loves being a big girl.

The night before preschool started I took my girl out and did a little "back" to school session with her. I really wanted to capture "her" at this time in her life. i love that I can give my kids the gift of photos of them growing up, I hope that it will be as special to them one day as it is to me right now. She's totally into modeling and has all kinds of little diva poses, so doing a photo session that was all about her, well, that was totally up her alley.

And one with her best friend, her brother :) They make me so happy the way they love each other. (but oh, do they fight!)

So, I sort of have a thing for chunky babies. Katie was a chunky baby. Ryan, not so much. Pretty sure that kid hasn't had an ounce of fat on him since the day he was born. Elizabeth is growing some chins, but other than that, we're chunk-less so far. But Evan, well, he's the perfect amount of chunkiness for a baby! Isn't he SO adorable? I want to steal him and call him my own. He's such a sweet, happy little man. He's got the perfect skin too, it's like porcelein! He's had it since he was a newborn

Time really flies when you're having fun, doesn't it? My sweet little Elizabeth is almost three months old! And what a gorgeous little thing she is! She's my little cuddle bug, and finally I get a mommy's baby! She talks all the time, goo-ing and gah-ing all kinds of things. Though her favorite is the little butterflies that hang from her play gym. She loves those guys and tells them all kinds of stories.
It's tough for me to find the time during the day to photograph my kids. Truthfully, it's tough for me to go and grab the camera sometimes because it can seem like a big deal to snap a few shots. I keep trying to set goals to take more pictures, so last night while the kids were washing the cars with their daddy, I decided to take a few snaps of Elizabeth that I think turned out so cute. I just put her in the lawn on a little piece of fabric and snapped away. Isn't she adorable? My heart just melts over this kid!!

A friend led me to a new blog of a woman I've never met, and probably never will, however she's totally touched my heart with her writing. She's a fellow photographer, but has the most unique, funny writing style. The night I was led to her blog I read for two hours straight. Crying, laughing, until finally my husband pulled me away from the computer at 12:30 am and forced me to go to bed. Here's a link to her blog. I say all that to explain to you to today's post. I've spent a lot of time the last 2 years building up my business, getting clients, building a website, editing client photos. It's taken it's toll on me, my house and most importantly, my kids. I want to be the fun mom! Not the mom who looks at other people's kids on the computer all day. Editing client images is going to have to wait until bed time or nap time. (I don't need to shower anyway right? The dishes can be done later!)

So yesterday I busted out my baking pans, asked Ryan what he wanted to make and he replied "ake!" "chocolate or vanilla" I asked. "Vanilla" Katie chimed in. Sound I pulled out my trusty Betty Crocker, the kids grabbed their chairs form the dining room, drug them into the kitchen and we started by greasing and flouring the pan. We only had to start over twice ;)

Remember when I told you about working with some awesome Etsy artists? Well they've really pulled out all the stops this time. My fabulous friend, Christina sent me two GIANT boxes of new props to work! My newborn clients will be really excited and overwhelmed at the choices for their newborn photographs. I'm telling you, it's possible that choosing your hats will take longer than your session!

This sweet little set is one of my favorites. I'm sad that it's a seasonal thing, because boy oh boy is it cute! There's another one in there that I just can't wait to use, but it's a surprise (since it didn't fit Elizabeth *sniff*.

Oh Boy! What a start today has taken!

Elizabeth woke up much earlier than usual this morning. Can't blame her right? She's a baby. She's hungry. That's fine, I will feed her and go back to sleep.

Just kidding! Katie woke up shortly after Elizabeth ate. It was just enough time for me to go to sleep, but not enough to actually rest.

Katie is LOUD when she wakes up and proceeds to wake everyone else up.

Elizabeth has a mess going on in her pants. A big big mess.

Ryan wakes up on the wrong side of the bed, and wants MOMMY. NOW.

Ryan proceeds to crawl under my desk and flick the power switch on my power supply to the computer while I am editing client pictures that I of course have not saved yet. Meanwhile Katie is throwing a giant ball and screaming (she calls it singing) in the background.

I can't even tell you what the dog did. It's that gross.

That was all before 8 AM!

I am determined to laugh these moments off. I've been a tired grumpy mommy these last few sleep deprived weeks. I want to be a nice, fun mommy that does fun things with her kids. Right now I'm in a fog, but I'm trying to break out of the fog! It's tough, but I'm determined!

So I took a break from the client files I was editing and did some for ME while the kids ate a breakfast of waffles with blueberries and whipped cream (yum!)

I encourage you to break out of the Monday funk, find something that makes you happy (Starbucks anyone? Yes Jason, go get a Starbucks ;)) and go with it!

Meet Miss Lyla! {Sacramento Newborn Photographer}

Miss Lyla was a mere 10 days old when I met her for her modeling debut! And she's just so perfect in every, single way. Newborns are my favorite, I just love getting to snuggle and bask in their newness. This one made me miss my little peanut as it was really the second time I had been away form her for an extended amount of time, and boy did I need to see her when i was finished! This time just passes far too quickly! The difference between this 10 day old and my 7 week old is amazing, which I why i ALWAYS encourage parents to get in before that two week mark when they start to lose that "newness" you can always have new pictures done, but you can't ever get the newness back!

Wedding!

I don't do a whole lot of weddings, but when i do, they are so much fun! There is nothing better than love, a gorgeous summer evening, and champagne! (Cupcakes are pretty tasty too!) This wedding was absolutely, positively, fabulous! They had the perfect evening, not too hot, which is rare this time of year! You could really feel the happiness and love in the air at this wedding as all of their guests celebrated their love and enjoyed the bar :). And I have to give a shout out to my fantastic second shooter for this wedding: Jason Hickey! He was rock solid all day long and his images were gorgeous! Thanks honey!!

Normally this time of year, those napkins would literally be melting into the table cloth!

Bride's take so much time selecting the perfect little details that go into their wedding, and so often they go unnoticed by anyone. (In fact most brides forget about them immediately following that "life changing" decision when they choose the stemware, cupcakes, etc.)

Meet Baby Elizabeth, She's MINE! {Yuba City Photographer}

Well, My baby arrived on May 25, 2010, at 10:55 A.M. and I am deeply, madly, fully, in love with her! She's just perfect, and I can't imagine not having her in my life! It's been 3 short weeks with her already, and it's been pure bliss! I love being a mom, and adding another peanut to our family has been perfection!! She's so calm, and peaceful. Hopefully this is a personality trait that sticks around! We could use a dose of peace around here ;).

I've been photographing her non-stop since she arrived. It's so hard not to get so many shots of her!! She WILL be one of the world's most photographed babies! Hopefully she doesn't grow to resent that ;)

Have you seen or heard of Etsy.com? If you haven't you should truck your little self over there to see what they have! It's an amazing market place for people to sell their home made wares. When I book a new client, I usually think to myself, "Oh, I wonder what I can get from Etsy for that!" They have hats, petti skirts, diaper covers, personalized items, and things for adults, dads, moms (mother's day is coming remember?!) and everyone else on your shopping list.

I've had the pleasure of working with a couple of different wonderful Etsy sellers, and I just can't say enough great things about everyone I've worked with on there. I wanted to share links to two of my favorite Etsy sellers though, who I work closely with! Both of them have taken any ideas I've had for something I want for a shoot and run with them.

The first seller is "Little Miss Frilly". She's a astay at home mom who makes these beautiful hats and shares them with the rest of us through her Etsy site. In case you didn't notice, I've changed the blog up a bit! It's been my goal for several months to get my webpage updated and changed around, but I clearly haven't gotten around to that. my new goal is to have a new webpage by the time I come back from maternity leave! That way I can start fresh with a new page! But I wanted to kick start the changes with my new blog because the old design was getting tired!

I call this "O" meet nature, nature, meet "O". Every time I take a baby outside for photos this happens. Cna't get them to look at me because they are SO fascinated by their new surroundings!

How To's, the Basics! (Yuba City Photographer}

I'm about to give a BIG secret away. A big one! People ask me all the time "how do you get your kids to sit still for a picture?" Truth is, my kid's don't love it when I get my giant camera out and stick it right up in their faces. They used to like it, but at some point they lost interest and would rather run away from me. Occasionally though, my oldest will ask to have her picture taken. (She's usually wearing some ridiculous get up or completely naked, but I always get excited when she asks for her picture to be taken.) Sometimes I try to coax her into wearing something different, but usually I just give in and zoom in really close so you can't see what she's wearing. :) And then of course take a few of the entire outfit because it's hilarious.

When taking pictures of other people's children I don't usually have as much trouble. I'm new to them, I have a big scary camera, and I'm usually making weird noises or saying weird stuff. I have had some tough customers but I ALWAYS get good smiling at the camera pictures of other people's kids. My own kids, well, that's another story.

So, here's my secret weapon to get pictures of my kids to get them to look at me. Craisins. We call them candies, and I 100% bribe them with them. Surely I will be fired by the parenting gods for bribing my children, but it works, and I want pictures of them looking at the camera! I have enough photos of the back of their heads, their tongue, or them leaning out of the frame. So, I put some craisins in a bowl and hold them next to my lens. No, I'm not kidding. The reason i use craisins? Other than their dentist will love me? They don't create messy drool. Chocolate creates very messy situations, and little fruit candy takes too long for them to chew. I've tried lots of different bribes but I also go back to my old favorite of the craisins. I even keep a bag of them in my camera bag ;)

I also take about a 100 per every 2 or three good ones. This little one was so darling! She didn't want to miss a moment of her photo shoot debut, so we didn't get too many sleepy moments, but she sure was adorable when she was awake! Isn't she gorgeous? This is for immediate families only, if you have a large group, you'll need to schedule a regular session, as there won't be enough time in the family minis to accommodate a large group. There will be enough time to get individual shots of your kids though, and maybe even sneak in a couple of just mom and dad, since how often do you have your pictures taken?

Back to Basics: How To's Chopping {Yuba City Photographer}

My husband's grandmother is known for her famous headchops. Everytime she takes a photo, everyone lovingly says "Make sure you get our heads in it Grammy!" Because, undoubtedly, she will cut someone out of the photo or just leave everyone with a lovely midsection and half a face. Not the most flattering look. She still uses film, so you don't even know that Grammy has a flattering photo of your rolls and no face until the next time you see her, in a month, once her film has been developed. She's old school and refuses to go digital. She loves her camera and I don't see her changing her ways any time soon ;)

Obviously, you the photographer know that chopping heads is a bad thing. But did you know that chopping off other parts of the body are making your photos less pleasing to the eye? Cutting off hands, fingers, parts of the chin, an ear, and feet can make your photos that much less appealling. Taking just a timy step back to get the entire hand into a photograph can make a huge difference in the way your photo is percieved. The baby didn't want to cooperate much with me today, so this example isn't perfect, but do you see how in the second one just a sliver of her chin is cut off? It sort of annoys your eye, if you think about it. Just moving back a touch, would have completely solved this issue. This is the same photo, only not annoyingly cropped, see how it's just that much more pleasing to the eye.

Just cutting a LITTLE sliver of something can be so very annoying to your viewers. My pet peeve is feet chops. Get a great photo, and see everything but their feet. And I do it all the time. half the time I won't even edit the image because it bugs me. That much. It happens a lot with group shots. You can chop them above the knee, or just below the knee, but please, not right at their feet. It's so awkward looking!

I shoot a lot of pictures. I enjoy that "Snap" that my camera makes when I take a photo. It's so loud, so gratifying. But, I work with children, and there's another reason for my "snap happy" ways. Children are tough and they tell you like it is. Here is my daughter showing you why, you really, really don't want to see "all" of the pictures!

Well, I fear my boy is growing up! Two seems so grown up to me. 2 means they can walk, they can talk, they go to sleep on their own (well, most of the time anyway!), and this one is even potty trained! I feel like every piece of his babyhood is slowly being ripped away, and it's so heartbreaking! He still sleeps in a crib though, and I plan to keep it that way as long as possible! He still sleeps with his "eesh" which is his special, ratty blankie, and he still sleeps with his thumb in his mouth, so at least we're holding on to those yet!

I love him to pieces. Him and those big beautiful brown eyes. He can do the naughtiest thing and all he has to do is give me a look with those bad boys and my heart melts and I want to kiss him! Look at them!!

Back to basics: Angles {Yuba City Photographer}

I started my photography adventure as a child in the 6th grade. My teacher set up a dark room in one of the janitor's supply closets at my elementary school. He had an after school club where we got to stay after and develop film. It was my first experience with "real photography" and oh how I loved it! Sadly, I wasn't able to revisit this side of my life until 2 years ago, when I signed up for a class at the community college. Throughout High School and College I loved taking pictures, but wasn't serious about it, just enjoyed using a camera and documenting things. After my daughter was born, that wasn't enough for me! I needed to get better pictures of her! I started by practicing with my cheap point and shoot camera and took decent enough pictures of her, but eventually she got too quick for my camera, and my husband convinced me to buy a DSLR. Spending that $700 dollars was tough for me! I thought I'd never need anything else photography related in my life!! (Boy was I wrong! haha!)

After getting my DSLR, I quickly learned that the camera was not going to really make that big of a difference in my pictures. It was going to have to be ME that learned how to take better pictures. $700 or not, the camera is just a piece of equipment. The beautiful pictures that I had seen coming from other people's expensive camera's were because they had talent, and a want to learn about photography. I found myself immersed in learning photography. Checked out books form the library, joined online forums where more experienced people could tell me what I was doing wrong, and started taking classes at the community college. I had finally found something that I wanted to do. I could "be a mom" and have something to myself as well!

Anyway, long story with very little to do with today's topic, which is "angles" and where to stand when you take photos. Last week, I talked about backgrounds, and paying attention to what is happening behind your subject. The angle form which you take your picture can be just as flattering or unflattering as a bunch of brightly colored, ugly toys in the background.

The first things you want to do when taking a picture of your subject is to get on their level. Of course there are times when this rule can be broken, but in general, you need to get on your knees and face your kid with the camera level to their eyes to take their picture. If you have a baby, and you're old or lazy, (or 27 weeks pregnant ahem.....) put them on a couch or a beanbag or something so you don't have to get down as far. Laying on your stomach if their down on the floor is pretty much what you're going to need to do! A bean bag or even a infant seat can be your best option here for a baby that isn't yet sitting on their own. Even those Bumbo chairs work awesome! What you don't want is to be looking down on your subject, especially from across the room. This type of angle screams "snapshot" and definitely won't be something you want to frame for later. Getting in close is another important thing to remember unless you're trying to capture the environment around them.

So, these example pictures are highly dramatized, since my 3 year old is a drama queen, but you can see the difference between when I was at her level, and when I stood above her. All it takes is getting down on your knees and getting your lens at eye level with your subject.

Getting a family portrait of my family is like pulling teeth. I can't get a shot of my own kids to save my life, and seeing as I'm 26 weeks pregnant I don't exactly feel motivated to have my picture taken. So, I saw a foot shot of a family and decided to try it on my family. How hard can it be to take a picture of feet right? Lay on the bed and snap! Haha. I was soooo very very wrong. So wrong. Apparently even my children's feet have PCS (Photographer's Child Syndrome). Ryan kept hiding his feet under the blankets, katie would cry for whatever reason three year olds cry, and my husband kept moving his feet and they were out of the frame! Man Alive! I for some reason decided to pull the dog in after we had spent about a half an hour getting a cute one. What was I thinking? I love the dog, I thinks she's cute, but I knew it was going to get more difficult with the dog. Guess what? I was wrong. The dog though she was so very lucky to get to lay on the bed and she was so perfect just laying there. I got a book for the kids, and read to them as we snapped a few more frames to get one that finally worked just right. The end result was perfection! So worth our efforts! I'm ordering it big to hang over my bed. Isn't that dog the cutest with those little baby feet?

I get at least one e-mail, facebook mail (facemail?), inquiry through my website and even sometimes phone calls from aspiring photographers/hobbyists asking for advice in something photography related every day. While I certainly don't flatter myself to know everything, or even close when it comes to phtography and editing, I love sharing what I've learned in my journey, and I am always so excited to learn that old friends are coming with me on my new journey towards beautiful photographs! I know that there are people that aren't bold enough to ask the questions, but are still wondering how to "get the basics". I thought my blog would be a wonderful place to help share the information I have learned, and to inspire all of you photo lovers to practice! My intent here is to start off with really easy posts about paying attention to your surroundings. Things you can do with a point and shoot basic camera, and things that anyone can do.

Today's topic: Backgrounds!

One of the WORST or Best things that can happen to a photograph is a background. It can make or break that gorgeous shot you have of your kids and it's one of the easiest things to fix! Just by simply looking at what is happening BEHIND your kid will make a huge difference! Trust me, those that have been to my house on a weekday when I have 4 kids 3 and under here KNOW that my backgrounds are not ideal in my house! There are brightly colored (ugly) toys everywhere, covering every surface of carpet we have, and there isn't a whole lot I can do about it. (Besides getting off my rear and cleaning them all up every time I want to take a picture, which would be pointless since they would be relocated to the carpet in exactly 60 seconds.) So, instead, I find places in my house that are uncluttered, or set the kids in front of something that isn't as distracting as the giant Fisher Price ride on toy. To do this with a baby is super easy. Set them on the couch, or a blanket and voila! instant cleanliness! For the moves in your family, especially non cooperative movers, it may be more difficult. My suggestion; get a chair, even a high barstool so they can't get down, and place it near a wall. This achieves two wonderful things in one. Blank background and they can't run away! Another easy way to clean up your backgrounds is to move your body. Got a mess to the right? Move a bit tot he left and perhaps you can avoid that ugly mess in the background.

These photos are completely unedited, and you can see how just moving my camera slightly to eliminate the two ride on toys and dining room furniture in the background made for a much more pleasing photograph. I also zoomed in a bit.

Backgrounds outside can be nearly as bad, if not worse. Trash, buildings, lightpoles, and cars can all get in the way of a pleasing photograph. I've been known to eliminate a car or two in photoshop, but it's a lot of work and much easier to eliminate before hand rather than after. Pay attention to what is behind your subject as a lot of times, all it takes is stepping two feet to the right and you end up with something so much more frameable!

Dear blog, I am sorry to have neglected you! I promise I have good reasons!

I've been super busy the last few weeks, with the kids, and with life in general! Summer really wiped us out. Constantly on the road to somewhere every weekend, a softball game on Wednesdays, and avoiding the heat at all costs! Us coast folk still haven't acclimated to the heat, even after 8 years of being away! I'm pretty sure my husband will never acclimate. He's A lover of that A/C :)

Ryan turned 18 months on the 8th! I had to share a few photos that I took of him to mark the occasion. He really didn't want his picture taken, and unfortunately he's learned the word "cheese" which results in ultra corny smiles. He has such a beautiful natural smile, it's just so hard to catch on camera since he wants to say cheese when he sees my lens. I had to work for these. And mostly they're just a mommy loving her boy ;)

After his late night shenanigans, Ryan was a tired puppy this morning, and fell asleep on the play room floor. Couldn't resist the photo op :) He melts me, even at 2 AM sleeping on my chest, on the couch. Reminds me of about 18 months ago when we brought him home......little stinker :)

Last week while on vacation at my parent's house I had to say goodbye to a very dear friend. I was in the 8th grade when we adopted "the babies" We adopted Savannah and her brother as an 8 week old puppies. Earlier this year we said goodbye to Sparkey. At 14 and a half human years, Savannah had finally gotten to the point that she was suffering so much we had to make the tough decision that any pet owner can commiserate with. It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my dear friend. You'll always be remembered 'vanna!

It's official. I love newborns. These twins were the most perfect little beauties I have ever seen! Aren't they adorable?? I love twins. But, I'm glad I'm not the mama to twins. Imagine all the late night feedings!! Hope you're getting some rest Mama!!!

A day in the life

A day around here is busy. Chasing little people, shooeing the dog out of the garbage, getting dinner ready, it's just plain BUSY! I've got tons and tons of snaps of our daily life here in the Hickey household, and rather than having them collect dust here on my hard drive I figured I would at least share them!

This first one depicts my dog, pretending she is innocent. She's my clean up crew after the kids eat, she's also the one that creates a mess out of the garbage should anything remotely tasty be thrown away!!! Second up is Katie, sitting on the barstools at the kitchen counter that she is NOT supposed to be sitting on. Also, she was eating chocolate chips that she found once she climbed up there. Ryan is talking on his lens cap camera, and just being a plain old goof. it's rare to get an in focus picture of him lately, unless it's of the back of his head, so anything that is remotely cute of him will be shared with you all :)

Santa Rosa Mini Sessions

I will be holding a day of mini sessions on June 20th in Santa Rosa. If you are interested in finding out more information or to book an appointment for the mini sessions, e-mail me at rebeccahickeyphotography@gmail.com. I'm only going to have a few spots available, first come, first serve! I'll update this list as the bookings fill up, so if you see it now, it's free, e-mail me which time is best for you!

Here are my time slots: OK Ladies, Sorry to disappoint, but all of the time slots have filled for the Santa Rosa Sessions. If you'd like to be added to the waiting list in case of cancellations, e-mail me and I will take your information and let you know as soon as I know when something opens up!

At just 2 weeks old, she is already stunning! Watch out Daddy! you're going to have your hands full with this little stunning beauty! I think newborns are my favorite! The only trouble is, it makes me want to take them home with me!

The Easter Bunny

Did you know he lives at Trinity Lake? Did you know by day he is a contractor, by night a volunteer fire man? I wasn't sure if we should tell Katie that inside the Easter bunny suit was her grandpa, because she had been terrified of the bunny at the mall, but she warmed up to this one right away. So, we didn't have to break it to her that the Easter Bunny in there was Grumps. As you can see in the pictures, they just couldn't take their eyes off the Easter Bunny.
